Hotham, William 2002 - 2004


William Hotham

William is a practising barrister at Six Pump Court in Temple, London. He has a common law practice and regularly appears in courts in that capacity. He has worked on a number of serious and complex cases domestically and overseas in International Assistance and Proceeds of Crime in domestic, foreign and joint investigations at the Serious Fraud Office.

William has won a number of scholarships. His pro bono work has been recognised in a joint Attorney-General’s award and in his appointment as a visiting fellow of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Program in International Human Rights Law.

In collaboration with the Legal Resources Centre in Ghana, William helped design and implement the training of Ghanaian law enforcement personnel on Human Trafficking law and practice, and upon request provided a précis of his work to a Criminal Justice Advisor to the Ghanaian government. William has worked with a joint Thai-international team in Thailand in a pro bono capacity and worked in a Thai women’s correctional institute.

William co-directs a charity with the object of the advancement of education in Tamale, Northern Ghana.
